You Set The Scene is a DJ session with DJ’s playing 1960’s and 60’s influenced pop, psych, garage rock, girl groups, rock n roll, R&B, soul, punk, indie, cool new stuff and a whole lot more…….

The Friday late night session at The Red Lion (Merchant Gate) happens on the 2nd Friday of each month between 9pm and midnight'ish. Its free but you have to be 18 or over. The next one is on Friday 11th March.

The resident DJ’s are Dan Guest and Mike Harrison.

Dan has been collecting music for ever, has run various nights over the years, was the original DJ at Brighton Beach setting up and then establishing the club, owns 6 Lambrettas, loves a multitude of musical styles and will be playing a selection of the best (as usual).

Mike is not a DJ (He just plays records that he likes), he has spent far too much time in California where he is known as Ringo, owns lots of cowboy shirts and will be playing mainly American bands.
