 Crave
 Location York
 Website www.myspace.com/wearecrave
 Genre Indie
Punk
It started with Kev and Steve Craven in the small town of York, England. Kev (drums) and Steve, (rocks it out on guitar and vocals) put together some songs, through a passion for music that had grown and grown for years. They wanted to create something fresh for today, something against the same old same old repeated across the airwaves. In late 2004 they discovered a ver talented bassist in Russel Carr. He had the moves! His legs shook like nothing any one had ever seen. He was likened to Superman. While Russ was in the band they played their biggest show to date, and their FIRST show! Around 1,000 people saw Crave play at the Grand Opera House York and saw them win the award for "best studio recording" (which was recorded at Cube Media within 3 hours (They had to rush the session which explains the quality of the tracks). This was a great time for Crave. However it wasnt meant to be. As Kev and Steve were busy outside the band, it had lost momentum in the following months with only a few practices preparing for the gig that never came and Russel felt he wanted to leave as their music wasn't to his taste. Russel quit the band. The band wish him the best of luck! Things turned dormant after that for the remaining crave. nothing really happened, but there was still Steve and Kevs' burning passion for music. They used their prize of studio time from the competition to record a 7 track demo. Production is still in progress. The search for a bassist was on throughout this time. One of Steves "online" friends turned out to be a basist, Dan Hartley. The guys had to get together and jam, see what would happen. They seemed to gel and Dan was immediately accepted as part of Crave. Crave are rehearsing and coming to a gig near YOU!....(In York)
