| | | 9 | Stone Roses Bar | Thu,10th Sep | | Stunning retro-rock from some genuine experts in their field. With a range of new material on display since their last outing, Dufflegoat are that fine example in the mould of Muse and Nirvana who can churn out a wall of sound with just 3 people playing. The big disappointment was the bizarre nature of the crowd - I don't think I've ever seen Stone Roses so quiet! Still about 11pm it finally filled up and fortunately the band were allowed to continue beyond their alloted time slot. An excellent repertoire of originals, 70s classics and 10 minute drum solos(!) this is a band not to miss - the drummer even took pity on me and fixed my drum pedal for me. What a nice chap . . - yorknights |
